Originally part of the National Childrens Home organisation we have been an independent charity for 10 years. We provide three main services:- (1) a UK wide immediate confidential crisis telephone counselling services to children, young people and adults on all subject matters (2) a subsidised face to face counselling service for adults who can visit our offices in Ilford (3) afordable hypnotherapy services to the public at low cost.

Our Vision-

Careline exists because there are many people today who are isolated by loneliness, health, a breakdown in relationships or by a particular personal or family problem that they are unable to share elsewhere.The non-judegemental counselling we provide is based on a 'person centred' approach which focuses very much on the callers feelings and emotions and in empowering the caller to look at their own way forward thereby taking control of their own lives

Programmes and Activities-

Our prime aim is both to continue and expand the three main services we offer. This aim is currently hindered by a shortage of suitable trained volunteers and the requisite ongoing funding.Not being in receipt of any government funding we are dependent on one off grants from a number of trusts, revenues raised from training services we provide to other organisations and individuals, donations for services.
